What it finds
What a clean copy leaves out.
- Location
- GPS coordinates and altitude are removed from photos, so the copy no longer shows where it was taken.
- Devices and software
- Camera and phone models, serial numbers, lenses and the apps that edited the file.
- Names
- Authors, last editors, companies, managers and creator fields in photos, PDFs and Office files.
- Dates and history
- Capture dates, document dates, editing time, revision counts and editing histories.
- Hidden extras
- XMP packets, IPTC captions, comments in images, Content Credentials and leftovers from earlier PDF saves.
- Honest re-check
- After cleaning, Metvoro reads the copy again and lists anything still inside, such as comments or tracked changes.

Questions
Questions, answered.
What does a clean copy remove?
For photos: EXIF (device, settings, dates and GPS), XMP, IPTC, comments and Content Credentials. For PDFs: document properties, XMP packets and leftovers from earlier saves. For Office files: author, company, template, editing time, custom properties and internal timestamps.
Does cleaning change how my file looks?
No. The picture data in JPEG and PNG files is copied unchanged, without recompression. Documents keep all their pages, text and formatting. Photos keep their orientation and colour profile.
What isn’t removed?
Content. Comments, tracked changes, hidden sheets, speaker notes, form values and attachments are part of the document itself, so the report lists them and tells you where to remove them.
Can I clean HEIC photos?
Not yet. On iPhone, tap Share › Options and turn off Location before sending, or convert the photo to JPEG and clean that.
