Terms of use

Plain-language terms for a free tool. Using Metvoro means you agree to them.

The service

Metvoro reads the metadata in files you choose, explains what it finds, and can create a copy of a file without its metadata. It is free to use and needs no account. We may change, limit or stop features, and we will update these terms when we do.

Your files

  • Only upload files you are allowed to use and share with a processing service.
  • You keep all rights to your files. Metvoro processes them only to produce your report or clean copy, then discards them.
  • How files are handled is described on the privacy page, which is part of these terms.

Fair use

To keep Metvoro fast and free for everyone, there are limits on file size and on how many files can be processed in a short time. Don’t try to get around those limits, overload the service, probe it for weaknesses without permission, or use it for anything unlawful.

Not professional advice

Metadata can be wrong, incomplete or deliberately edited, and our interpretation can be mistaken. Reports are an informed reading of what a file says about itself. They are not forensic, legal or financial advice, and they don’t prove where a file came from or whether it was changed.

Clean copies remove the metadata described in the report. They don’t remove content such as visible text, comments, tracked changes or form values, and changing a signed PDF invalidates its signature. Check important files yourself before sharing them.

Liability

Metvoro is provided as is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from using or relying on it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
